Wendy’s Wish
By Anglia Emmendorfer
To Never, Never Land
so high in the sky
Wendy was like a
mother to Peter Pan
He always wanting her
to nurture him
Never to make him
land.
Nay, Nay I say
Take me on the ride of
my life
Never will I be the
mother
Only your wife.
Forevermore,
yet so far away.
I hear your heart beating the rhyme of
stampedes
Sending shock
waves through the universe
Magnifying
your love for me
In Everland's
verse.
Repetitions
at triple fore' echoes soar
Leading
us closer to Everland’s door.
Yet you draw me near as
you are far away
Using your melodic
sounds to chase my soul
Leading me up and up;
no one knows.
What sweet music to my
heart and ears
Feeling the madness
that will not disappear.
The sweet
tear rolls coldly down my cheek
To muse
the aspect of your fate.
Though it
makes me sway in a daze,
Knowingly
you shall chose the journey
To the
unknown beside me.
In the great out there,
What beauty to see
The laughter and
youthful play
Set forth for you and
me.
