"Reflect My Reflection"

“Heaven’s Door”

“Heaven’s Door”

By Anglia Emmendorfer

As I hear the knock

Thoughts of dream scrapes

Scan the mind

Tempered breezes,

Guided sails,

Blue powdered skies,

Shifting winds,

Turquoise wetness,

Tell tales fluttering,

Telling the tales

Dancing with each

Direction our minds flow

Vibrations touch the cords

With shouts of ready about,

Touching the door

Ready.

Hard a lee

Push the tiller; breathe

Ninety degrees starboard side; steady

Boom port…jib sheeted

Open the door quickly

Changing sides hold steady.

Weather eye spanning

Tears in the eyes

Making room for all.

Hope in stride and held steady

No coincidence

Only complete, concise and coherent

Honesty.

Acceptance in its purest form,

Affirmation smiles gleaming,

Trembling from the touch,

Each God granted moment.

Flowing winds of thoughts

Throughout the night.

Leads to all new found hope.

Generous helpings of love

With our roses given always;

Not your first but your last.

Captain, Only For You!

“Breathe”

“Breathe”

By Anglia Emmendorfer

Accept the difference

Love the heart mind and soul.

Take my hand

Look into my eyes

Sink so deep into me

To my soul.

Slow dance with me.

The heaviness is due

Our souls’ cadence in dance.

We hold each other so close

Melts the messenger of time.

Nothing matters

Nothing counts

 But our soul’s journey

On the slow dance of life.

To hear you breathe.

To feel your heartbeat

Like a cello in the dark

Playing the notes to move as air.

Shifts our bodies close freedom

In flight we soar in our dance.

There is no you and no I;

Simply two souls dancing in the night.

The vortex will eat you alive

It suffocates us and holds us hostage;

Never free to live and see life as it really is.

It grays our world and pollutes our minds.

Not until you brush the dust off of expectations of others

Can you live freely.

It takes conscious effort to feel this way

It allows your minds to see things differently.

You discover the feelings you used to have long ago.

Free as a bird in flight

Don't ever allow anyone to still your soul;

Let it dance.

"A SERMON"

by Angie Emmendorfer

To see a sermon than hear one any day.

In our speech, some speak before they think

In our actions, some act before they think.

To lend a hand without being asked to,

To share a shoulder just to be there,

To shout praise for little acts of courage, bravery and fortitude,

To open our hearts and eyes to those in need,

To listen without judgment,

To say thank you with the feeling in the eyes,

To give a smile to someone just for their present,

To see all acts of heartfelt kindness in the making,

To do the right thing for the right reasons,

The sermons that we see are more than mere words.

Sermons are our acts on display.

“Our Motherland”

“Our Motherland”

By Anglia Emmendorfer

As I See The Ocean and Cliffs So Green

The Motherland Is Calling My Name.

To A Land That I So Proudly Proclaim

Rich In Heritage,

Draped In Mother Earth's finest,

Visits Our Life Every St Patrick's Day!

St Patrick's Day is so near,

But oh so far away.

From my Motherland

All in awe at the St Patrick's Day upon us;

Seeing all that Green covering our rich Motherland

Yet, in awe,

All the Green

Draped on Irish and Non-Irish

Smile for Me!

If you have not figured it out yet….the “Motherland” is Ireland 1st and US 2nd, since we all were immigrates at one time or another from one country or another with exception to the Native Americans already here.

Now, today the US is our 1st and Ireland 2nd but she still shouts our names.

From Your Irish Ladie With Irish Eyes Smiling Upon You…Thank You Father and Grandfather(Father’s Father), Your Native American With Blessings From My Grandmother (Mom’s Mother) and Your Scot…Thank you Grandfather (Mom’s Father).

“Paradise”

“Paradise”

By Anglia Emmendorfer

Time ticking

Mother Nature not being kind.

Then you touched me

From a thousands of miles away.

You’ve got me flying

I can’t come down.

We meet

We can make it for life

We are flying

I can’t come down.

Has anyone ever told you

There is nothing I can’t do if I had you?

Not that I can remember

Flying so high

I can’t come down

The kiss sweeter than nectar

From a honeysuckle tree

We were like two magnets

That came into polar perimeter

We are flying

I can’t come down.

Needed to find someone who needs me

As much as I need them

In flight

I tried but

I can’t come down

The look into my eyes

Let’s me know

You love me.

We are flying

We can’t come down.

“Salutations at Nature's Door”

“Salutations at Nature's Door”

By Anglia Emmendorfer

Beauty felt through another's eyes
Yearn to share through nature's door.
Solitude fills the air while nature's
raptures grace the soul,
Unbounded melody of sounds,
Endless fragrances pure in the mountain aura,
Cleanses the palate with each breathe taken.
The campfire glows and pine smells
Lead the song of laughter.
Unkempt bandits creep in the night
To rob leftovers from the nightly meals.
Sense nature's glorious graces held near the
heart and cherished by the soul.
Standing ovation from those you have touched.
