“Our Motherland”

“Our Motherland”

By Anglia Emmendorfer

As I See The Ocean and Cliffs So Green

The Motherland Is Calling My Name.

To A Land That I So Proudly Proclaim

Rich In Heritage,

Draped In Mother Earth's finest,

Visits Our Life Every St Patrick's Day!

St Patrick's Day is so near,

But oh so far away.

From my Motherland

All in awe at the St Patrick's Day upon us;

Seeing all that Green covering our rich Motherland

Yet, in awe,

All the Green

Draped on Irish and Non-Irish

Smile for Me!

If you have not figured it out yet….the “Motherland” is Ireland 1st and US 2nd, since we all were immigrates at one time or another from one country or another with exception to the Native Americans already here.

Now, today the US is our 1st and Ireland 2nd but she still shouts our names.

From Your Irish Ladie With Irish Eyes Smiling Upon You…Thank You Father and Grandfather(Father’s Father), Your Native American With Blessings From My Grandmother (Mom’s Mother) and Your Scot…Thank you Grandfather (Mom’s Father).
