“Breathe”

“Breathe”

By Anglia Emmendorfer

Accept the difference

Love the heart mind and soul.

Take my hand

Look into my eyes

Sink so deep into me

To my soul.

Slow dance with me.

The heaviness is due

Our souls’ cadence in dance.

We hold each other so close

Melts the messenger of time.

Nothing matters

Nothing counts

 But our soul’s journey

On the slow dance of life.

To hear you breathe.

To feel your heartbeat

Like a cello in the dark

Playing the notes to move as air.

Shifts our bodies close freedom

In flight we soar in our dance.

There is no you and no I;

Simply two souls dancing in the night.

The vortex will eat you alive

It suffocates us and holds us hostage;

Never free to live and see life as it really is.

It grays our world and pollutes our minds.

Not until you brush the dust off of expectations of others

Can you live freely.

It takes conscious effort to feel this way

It allows your minds to see things differently.

You discover the feelings you used to have long ago.

Free as a bird in flight

Don't ever allow anyone to still your soul;

Let it dance.
