“BLINK”

By Anglia Emmendorfer

In the dark shadows,

Catching glimpses

Of all the beautiful things

Life has prevailed

Held precious in rose windows

Casted upon walls shifting

In the mind.

As the weakened eyes shut

Will we have done all

We could do for our rose windows

To shut knowing it’s the end?

Have we completed our mission

Touching others or impacting

A stranger’s life to the end

Of the bend?

Tomorrows and yesterdays

Come and go

What will it take

To help a life

Complete a mission

Become a friend

Before your rose windows

  1. "Blink" touched me so much I shared it with the Red Door Poetry club at Caltech in Pasadena Ca. It was very well received and appreciated.
